Gosick

gosick This is one of the anime titles that may or may not put you off. This does a little bit, for me. However, when i found out it’s a mystery genre, i wanted to watch because solely i like mysteries, and a fan of Detective Conan, Sherlock Holmes [should start reading =.=], and Poirot. Not to mention Miss Marple Series.

This might not be everyone’s cup of tea… since they have a bit of Sherlock Holmes style in it [ i only noticed the pipe the girl used.] Very irksome. Really of no use for he girl who suddenly produced a pipe out of nowhere and start deducting by “recontructing the chaos” and using her “fountain of wisdom” This genius dons some sort of loli type dress. It could be Victorian, but i see no difference

064

But the 1st 3 episodes i quite enjoyed, minus the 1st episode, i daresay i ditched it.

Summary: Gosick takes place in 1924 in a small, made-up European country of Sauville. The story centers on Kazuya Kujo, the third son of a Japanese Imperial soldier, who is a transfer student to St. Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are all the rage. There he meets Victorique, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl who never comes to class and spends her days reading the entire content of the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can't solve. The series mostly focuses on Kazuya and Victorique getting involved in different mystery cases and their struggle to solve them, at the same time forming important bonds with different people.
